Trip to Kabji Hoka Tsho

This pristine lake is hidden away in the middle of dense jungle vegetation. It is located at an altitude of about 2000M. The trail towards the Tsho starts from Chorten Nyingbo which is a winter residence of Trulku Gyaltsey Tenzin Rabgye. Kabji Hoka Tsho is considered as one of the best and a must visit places in Punakha for an excursion. To visit Kabji Hoka Tsho, we need to hike along the concrete irrigation water channel. It almost takes 2 and ½ hours to reach at the Kabji Hoka Tsho from the Chorten Nyingbo. The lake is scenic and also gives a sense of peace and calm. I felt that the best season to visit Kabji Hoka Tsho is winter since during the summer, the paths are slippery whereas during the winter, the lake seems beautiful surrounded with green grass. The trip to Kabji Hoka Tsho was adventurous as well as a blessed one.
